SAFRAN IS COMMITTED TO STRENGTHENING ITS CULTURE OF ANTICIPATION AND PREVENTION so it can better manage risks in these areas and protect its staff, partners, suppliers, customers, and all communities its activities impact on. Safran is committed to open dialogue with all its stakeholders in the spirit of transparency and honesty.

THE SET OBJECTIVES that make up this policy are part of an effort to continually improve performances in order to:
> Protect the health and safety of the women and men who take part in the Group’s activities, by drastically reducing the risk of occupational illnesses and accidents,
>Guarantee the reliability of its facilities and protect their surroundings,
> Develop and distribute products and services that take Health, Safety and Environment into account all throughout their life cycle.

EACH GROUP ENTITY IS COMMITTED to complying with all local applicable Health, Safety and Environment laws and regulations, regardless of the part of the world it operates out of. Entities are additionally committed to making the Group’s objectives their own and applying the standards so that the level of performance aimed for in these areas can be achieved.

THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT, part of the Group Human Resources Department, is in charge of establishing and coordinating this policy. It works in collaboration with the Safran HSE centres and all impacted Departments to ensure smooth and even implementation - driven by management - throughout all operational and functional processes.

ALL CHAIRMEN & C.E.O. of the Group companies are personally committed to making this policy known, and actively implementing it amongst their staff, their partners, the community and other stakeholders.

ALL MANAGERS, at every level, are committed to implementing prevention programmes within their activities, ensuring their staff members remain informed and play an active role in contributing to HSE development, and seeing that all actions taken help to achieve improvement objectives.

WHEN IT COMES TO HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT, THE PERFORMANCE OF EVERY EMPLOYEE IS A KEY ASSESSMENT CRITERION.
